“I AM from the north of Sweden based in Stockholm. I am interested in how we communicate, our body language, our energy exchange, and the rooms and larger surrounding space that we inhabit. By painting in large formats focusing on physicality and repetitive movements, I try to integrate the viewer and the environment into the work. The process is as necessary as the finished piece, which makes documentation and sometimes to paint live as a performance part of my work. 

MY PREGNANY is the most significant experience I have had so far in life. It has taken me on an emotional, intellectual, and physical journey that has given me new perspectives, values, and an acceptance of how I and my body has changed during this time. The first 12 weeks felt like a never-ending hangover, and I slept most of the time. Since then, I have felt strong and like the best version of myself. The female body is so cool, and during my pregnancy, I have felt more inspired to discover it further through sketching in my art. During these final weeks of my pregnancy, I have a strange craving for smelling dish soap from Grumme.

My preparation for giving birth is trust. I feel safe and excited to give birth by trusting in our maternity care, in myself and my body, and with support from my fiancé, I know we will experience something so natural and beautiful together. I also try to visualize the birth, how I want it to be. I know that Lou’s delivery might be different from what I can imagine now, but I want to be filled with positive thoughts when it is time for my body and mind to do their part.”

I DREAM OF having a farm in the south of Sweden with a big studio for my art and a lot of green grass where Lou can play. We dream of growing our vegetables and having a chicken or two. 

I LOVE TO find odd things and bargains with good quality in second-hand stores. Discuss aliens and area 51, have late dinners at home, share a good bottle of red wine, have meditative time in a beautiful church, be present, and be aware of my thoughts and feelings. 

CREATIVITY, TO ME, has always been a central part of my life but in different shapes. I was modeling from a young age, running a second-hand store, freelancing as a fashion stylist, and later discovering my expression in how to paint and applying to an art school in Stockholm. 

WHEN I FEEL FREE from distractions, creativity comes to me in my studio in Hägerstensåsen or spending time with Felix, who is a musician and one of the most creative souls I have met. It’s a gift to be able to share my creativity with him.”
