Happiness is a butterfly

The idea came from wanting to create pieces that give an illusion of fragile beauty, while at the same time being a reflection of the uncompromising strength within us, this in a perfect balance.

I wanted the dresses to be dreamy, futuristic and reactionary. Punk baroque is maybe the most suitable description of these two pieces; both masculine and feminine and equally strong, sculptures of what has been and what is yet to come.

One is fragile and treacherous as a rose and the other is the little tin soldier who wants to jump into the fire.

I wanted to achieve a contemporary look so instead of working with traditional fabrics I chose to use technical materials, such as waterproof heavy-duty gabardine and windproof polyester. Most of the fabrics and details are donations from Acne Studios.
