Campo San Polo is one of Venice’s largest squares. Unlike the more famous St. Mark’s Square, it’s not a place exclusively for tourists. Similar to the equally pleasant Campo Santo Stefano, local city life feels present and vibrant.
Here you can find an ice cream stand, a few beautiful trees, plenty of outdoor seating as well as Venice’s pulse. This is especially noticable later in the day when children on their way home from school fill the square with life.
